Rebuilding Illinois: Transportation Funding and Value Capture

On January 28, join the APA-IL Chicago Metro Section (APA-CMS) and Transport Chicago for a discussion on the new multi-year capital plan, the state of public funding for transit and innovative transit-funding mechanisms that are being used to supplement public resources.

Through local and state cooperation, the CTA was able to secure over $1 billion in federal money through the establishment of a Transit-TIF District—hear about how this was accomplished and the work that these funds are supporting. Similarly, hear about proposed funding strategies and multi-jurisdictional governance structures that are currently being explored as a means to fund and implement future improvements along the Metra North Central Service Corridor (NCS).
